The Veterans Health Alliance informs veterans of the availability of benefits and services, provides training for veterans, family members, and social service providers, conducts advocacy with elected officials regarding the need for veteran services, and provides direct services and peer support to veterans and their families.
Provides war trauma psychotherapy and psychotherapy for military sexual trauma which occurred while on active duty, counseling to family members of veterans serving during specific periods of war or hostile actions and bereavement counseling for family members.

Operates a Veterans Resource Center providing mental health (including PTSD) and substance abuse counseling for veterans and their families and offers out-patient treatment for those with alcohol and drug problems, as well as others affected by the disease. The program provides drug and alcohol education to children, families and significant others.

The Mildred and Frank Feinberg Division of the Unified Behavioral Health Center for Military Veterans and their Families is dedicated to enhancing the well- being of the military communities of Long Island by offering compassionate, evidenced-based behavioral healthcare to military families. The center serves individuals and families that are impacted by military service including: family members of all ages of any active duty, reserve duty or veteran, veterans who are not able to obtain VA services and military service members.

Nassau County will be conducting “Vet2Vet” Peer Networking groups. Vet2Vet will be a small group of veterans, who will meet weekly, to share knowledge, provide mutual support, and share resources.
