The VA Medical Center in Northport offers a wide range of medical, surgical, mental health, physical rehabilitation, vocational/employment, substance abuse, pharmacy, aging and women’s services. Most honorably discharged wartime and peacetime veterans are eligible for VA care.

United Veterans Beacon House has a Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP), a food pantry and provides free job training, retraining, job placement.
The Catherine Martin Inn provides communal, long term housing for homeless, male veterans who have completed substance abuse rehabilitation programs and have maintained sobriety for at least nine months.
Concern for Independent Living provides contracted case management services for Long Island veterans with HUD-VASH Vouchers. This program utilizes a Housing First approach to ensure rapid rehousing and stabilization within the community.
Catherine Martin INN provides communal, long term housing for male veterans in recovery from substance abuse for six months. Program focuses on education and skills for future independence.
The Salvation Army operates its Northport Veterans Residence, offering housing up to 90 days for homeless or at-risk for homelessness men and women veterans of Nassau and Suffolk counties with DSS eligibility.
Volunteers to repair and rehabilitate homes of the elderly, disabled and veteran home owners.
