Volunteers of America offers care to homeless veterans and those at imminent risk of becoming homeless. They arrange for emergency, transitional, and permanent housing and also provide a full range of services focusing on acute and long-term issues, from crisis intervention and counseling, to budget management, employment counseling, and recreation. Staff also coordinate primary medical care, including mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Volunteers of America also provides supportive services for veteran’s families.
